Poem #1: Plugged in

Everyone is plugged in

All their holes filled

With plastic and bullshit

Pockets illuminated

With screens that never stop

Is it worth it?

To hear ourselves talk

To feel important

We have to stab our eyes out

So we don’t have to see our reflection

What a powerful thing it is

A fear of rejection

We’re experts on nothing

And everything

Just shut the fuck up
