Poem #2: Dachshund

There’s a table full of celebrities,

Athletes perhaps

Or at least

Someone who hands out the money

They’re at a meeting

All on their phones

Talking into space

When did this become the norm?

People walk by and wave

Hoping for some recognition

When in walks a Dachshund

And suddenly

No one cares

About the stars

They will never capture attention

Like this fury little gentleman

Who licks his own asshole

In public
